PROJECT/SHOTHING

Actually second last country of our road movie in 2 parts through Central America. Due to the refusal of Cuba to grant us a filming permit, it became the final destination.

No problem at all, thanks to the beauty of the country and its stories. We were able to fill the lost part through Cuba very well. Of course we would have preferred to finish our shoot in Cuba as planned.

From San José we drive to Fortuna at the famous volcano. Soon we meet our protagonist who is reforesting on the spot. A wonderful idea to reforest the rain forest. A small part is also used here again for wood processing. On the whole, however, the stock is growing and the little processed wood is sold at a profit.

Slowly the extreme weather conditions began to bother us a little. We have been on the road for a month now and are shooting and travelling every day. We have never felt the humidity as extreme as in the rainforest area in Costa Rica.

We also finish this part successfully. During this project through 4 countries, with a total of 17 flights including 4 camera flights in small airplanes, several canoe or boat trips, every 1st to 2nd day change of driver and car, rarely more than 1 night in one accommodation, etc. etc. etc. we are overjoyed to have completed this project to the fullest satisfaction of the author and the station.

Not one cable of the equipment has broken, let alone other problems. Last but not least, we owe it to our professional technology and the reasonable handling. I found the teamwork among us to be outstanding and I am proud that we all got along well with each other for so long without any problems. A dream project. Many, many thanks.
