Documentary film about the vision of one day supplying all of Europe with "green energy from the desert". DESERTEC Program.

We shot all over Morocco (Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakesh, Tangier, Tetuán, Chefchaouen) up to Layoone and from there in the Sahara desert. We were accompanied by one of the pioneers of renewable energies together with his colleagues and the German Federal Institute for Lending.

There were so many highlights of this shooting trip. For sure the Sahara desert, but also the city of Marrakesh. In Cairo, where we filmed a study program on renewable energies at the university, among other things, we were impressed but also shocked by this big city monster.

Egypt is the beginning of renewable energies. Over 100 years ago, energy was generated here by parabolic mirrors. It is essential not to rotate here. We also visited the desert area along the pyramids and the biggest phosphate production worldwide, etc.
